Over the past term, we’ve made meaningful investments in infrastructure, parks, transportation, and community safety. As our neighbourhoods continue to grow and change, we have an opportunity to build on that progress.
I’ve put together a clear set of key priorities focused on delivering real, tangible outcomes for our community: strengthening infrastructure, enhancing public spaces, improving mobility, expanding housing options, and keeping our neighbourhoods safe and connected.
Champion the infrastructure our community needs—roads, sidewalks, pathways, and parks—ensuring aging neighbourhoods remain safe, accessible, and livable as they grow.
Revitalize the Bank and Hunt Club corridor into a safer, more community-focused area including critical intersection upgrades at Hunt Club Rd and Bank Street., and Daze St and Hunt Club Rd. Begin plans for a full rehabilitation of the Bank Street over rail bridge and improve active transportation, pedestrian and transit facilities along Hunt Club Road/Airport Parkway intersection.
Improve local transit connections and reduce travel times by putting rider experience first—reliable service, better connections, and convenient access across the ward and to major transit stations.
Advance a plan to modernize and revitalize the Sawmill Creek Community Centre and Pool—expanding access to swimming lessons, recreation programs, and inclusive spaces for residents of all ages.
Advance a bold vision for a signature urban park at South Keys Shopping Centre—integrated into phased redevelopment, with strong pedestrian and cycling connections to the South Keys transit station and the surrounding community.
Continue advancing affordable housing in our community, including the development of an affordable neighbourhood in Heatherington—complete with a public park and community-focused amenities.
Deliver upgrades across our parks, including a renewed splash pad and wading pool in Greenboro Park, a new bocce court in Aladdin Park, a renewed play structure in Kemp Park, and enhancements to the Conroy Road skateboard park.
Enhance safety across our neighbourhoods by continuing to invest in permanent traffic calming measures and targeted road safety upgrades. Build an education and awareness campaign to address E-Scooters and pathway safety.
Support a south end expansion of the ANCHOR (Alternative Neighborhood Community Response) program and a more holistic approach to community safety so residents feel secure at home, on our streets, and in public spaces.
